Strategic Public Relations: From Reputation to Revenue
Bandung – Pos Indonesia held the PosIND Communication Summit 2025 on February 5-6, 2025, at Grha Pos Indonesia, Bandung. This event aimed to enhance employees’ communication capacity to deliver messages professionally in line with the Asta Cita of the President of Indonesia, strengthen message consistency to the public, improve crisis preparedness, and foster cross-division collaboration.
One of the keynote speakers at this event was Fardila Astari, a strategic communications expert from Reputasia Strategic Communications. In a session titled “From Reputation to Revenue”, she emphasized the importance of Strategic Public Relations in effectively managing corporate communication to support business objectives.
According to Fardila, the success of strategic communication is not only measured by media reach (earned media) but also by its impact on business growth. She introduced various communication planning models, including ROSTIR (Research, Objective, Strategy, Tactic, Implementation, Reporting & Evaluation) and the PESO Model (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) as effective approaches in communication message distribution.
“It is time for PR to not only focus on media relations but also integrate multiple communication channels to achieve organizational goals. With a data-driven approach and measurable strategy, reputation can be converted into real revenue for companies,” said Fardila.

In this session, participants were also introduced to the Barcelona Principles 3.0, a global standard for measuring communication effectiveness, and the AMEC Framework, which emphasizes evaluation based on Output, Out-take, Outcome, and Impact. This ensures that every communication activity adds value to the company.
During the event, Corporate Secretary of Pos Indonesia, Tata Sugiharta, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening the role of strategic communication in supporting business transformation in the digital era.
“This event is a strategic step in building strong communication within Pos Indonesia by engaging employees to enhance synergy and teamwork within the company. It is expected that every employee will be more agile in responding to changes and the fast-evolving industry dynamics,” he stated.

With the successful PosIND Communication Summit 2025, it is hoped that Pos Indonesia employees can optimize the role of strategic communication to tackle industry challenges and enhance the company’s competitiveness in the future.
