Barcelona Principles 3.0

The communication landscape is evolving rapidly. Some of the practices established in 2010 (Barcelona Principles – BP1.0), when the new Barcelona Principles were created, are now outdated. Even the updates made to the BP2.0 in 2015 have become less up-to-date.

In order to remain the basic foundation for measuring and evaluating communication, Barcelona Principles need to be refreshed, so it can reflect this changing landscape properly. The following are the Barcelona Principles 3.0 that can be applied to the wider communication function of an organization, government, company or brand, globally.
